Project Overview

Pharmatech’s existing site is outdated, poorly structured and not optimised to perform as a sales tool for the company.The focal point of this project is to refresh the existing website which will improve the customer journey and user experience, in turn increasing sales.Alongside this we will be implementing a digital Growth strategy that drives traffic to the website via search engine optimization.

Recently Threshers re-launched the brand founded in 1898 into a digital platform hoping to challenge for number 1 spot in this busy industry. We have been working with the Threshers team to improve organic traffic levels through a targeted growth strategy and improve conversion rates through data driven user experience design, we are still in the infancy or our partnership but the results are already speaking for themselves.

Month 1

The project begins with a deep dive into understanding Pharmatech, the brand and its history.The Project Kick Off meeting is conducted with Pharmatech & the KIJO team, ensuring our visions are aligned from the very beginning. Planning documents are created and sent to Pharmatech for review & sign off.The next steps are to generate a sitemap, a document that lists the pages of the website & moodboards, a collection of images that are used as inspiration moving forward into the design phase, this helps the team get an idea for the vision and direction of the website, these are sent to Pharmatech for review & sign off.We then move onto creating the wireframes of the site, which serves as the skeletal framework for the full fidelity design. These are sent to Pharmatech for review & sign off.Whilst the new site is being built we start to rectify the existing on-site SEO issues with the current website, as well as strategising the growth campaign & content marketing plan.

Month 2

Wireframe sign off has been achieved and the full fidelity design commences and completes, this is sent across to Pharmatech for review & sign off.On the current website the content marketing strategy has now commenced with the first piece of content being released, outreach will be conducted to relevant websites in order to increase the backlink profile of the website.

Month 3

Development of the site commences in order to bring the created designs live onto the web including rigorous quality assurance and internal testing to mitigate bugs & errors.. Pre-live site is sent to Pharmatech for review & sign off.With sign off achieved the site is now launched. PR outreach will be conducted to relevant news sources regarding the site update. Content will continue to be produced which will increase the number of keywords the site ranks for. Alongside this further outreach is conducted to attract relevant and high authority backlinks – strengthening the domain ranking of the website.

Month 4

We continue with our content marketing strategy further increasing keyword rankings and the websites backlink profile. The PR campaign means more traffic is heading to the site from direct sources. Through A/B Testing, heat-mapping and optimisation of the Landing Pages we’ve been able to increase the conversion ratio of traffic to enquiry from 1% to 2%. These pages serve as a “Fishing Line” to hook & capture attention through clear call to actions, providing just enough information to make an enquiry.

Month 5

We are now starting to establish a strong foothold in the UK search market with targeted keywords starting to rank on Page 1 of Google.

Month 6

We have now achieved over 60 enquiries from the beginning of the campaign and site traffic is averaging over 1,000 users per month. A review is conducted of the content marketing strategy and a plan of action for next 6 months agreed upon.

Month 7

Through further A/B testing, heat-mapping and optimisation of the websites Landing Pages the conversion ratio from traffic to enquiry has further increased to 3% thanks to further analysis and optimisation of the website.

Month 8

Traffic has further increased to 1,500 users monthly with 45 enquiries generated this month. This is through the content marketing plan and outreach achieving placements in locations which attract traffic. Coupled with the growth in appearance for organic search terms.

Month 9

Over 50 enquiries generated this month due to increase in traffic and awareness online. Our targeted keywords are now starting to rank in positions 1-5 on Google, driving further traffic to the site.

Month 10

Benchmark of 250 total enquiries achieved this month.

Month 11

Website traffic has increased to over 2,000 users monthly.

Month 12

15 targeted Keywords are ranking in positions 1-5 on Google. Over 350 enquiries have been generated over the 12 month campaign.

The Future

Pharmatech has now become the dominant UK website in this market place with the website delivering consistent traffic, enquiries and sales.
