Do I really need SEO?

It’s pretty much a no brainer. You want to be seen online, you want customers to find you and engage with you. So yes, you need SEO.

90% of us don’t bother to scroll past page one of Google. And why should we? We’re too busy leading fast-paced lives to trawl through pages and pages of results. What’s more, over half the clicks on the first SERP (Search Engine Results Page) are on the very top spot. If you aren’t there jostling for premier SEO status, you’ll miss a valuable opportunity to secure new business.

Getting it right – local and sector-specific SEO

You may think SEO techniques are a luxury reserved for big businesses and big budgets – and that as a small or medium sized enterprise you could never compete. But that’s not the case. Even on a modest budget you can produce stellar results with the right knowhow behind your campaign.

Firstly, you need to understand your demographic. We’ll help you create a digital fingerprint for your target audience – establishing exactly what they search for and how they behave online. Using our findings, we can then begin to build a specific list of target keywords for your business. The more specific your keywords, the better your chances of a high ranking. And ultimately more, better quality conversions.

With keywords established, our team will meticulously go through your website to ensure your sitemap, navigation and responsiveness are all Google friendly. Plus we’ll help you maximize your content for SEO – creating blogs, landing pages and other content to help your site climb to the top spot on SERPs for your specific keywords.

Once your SEO campaign is underway, we’ll keep monitoring its effectiveness. Our digital detectives use techniques such as heat mapping and split testing to really get to the crux of what makes your customers tick. Using this knowledge, we can continue to make tweaks and boost on page conversions.

Case study: Branching out with My Green Clean

My Green Clean is a domestic and commercial cleaning company based in Birmingham. As a new company their aim was to significantly boost local enquiries as well as branching out to Birmingham and beyond. With their goal of 100% customer satisfaction and fastidious approach to cleaning, it was our job to put My Green Clean on the local cleaning spectrum.

My Green Clean SEO Campaign

Our Approach

Before we could make a start with our local optimisation efforts, it was essential for us to make sure all elements of the website were fully optimised for SEO (on site SEO). Factors such as meta titles, meta descriptions and general completion of the website were at the forefront of the job in hand. Scrutinising the website is a vital part of any SEO campaign – getting the fundamentals right is the key to setting up your website for search success.

Once we were confident that the website had been fully optimised, it was time to decide on how we could achieve the main goal of the campaign – increasing local enquiries. The route we chose was to introduce micro area landing pages, a technique we’d previously used in other clients’ local SEO campaigns with great results. The aim of the landing pages is to target specific local keywords.

The next part of the process was to identify which keywords to target. We’ve honed our skills in keyword research through the years, so we made sure we employed our most successful techniques to establish the keywords for this project.

With a group of targeted keywords in hand our main focus was now on creating the bespoke landing pages which would successfully rank. In order to optimise on-page conversions, it was important to ensure the content we produced was unique to the page.

To maintain My Green Clean’s local SERP rankings, a flagship piece of content was required. By utilizing previously proven outreach efforts we were able to secure multiple high quality and relatable backlinks.

The Results

In two months of the running the local SEO campaign we’ve seen impressive results. My Green Clean are already receiving 30 qualified enquiries each month thanks to our support. This stems from the continued success of their targeted keyword rankings. 31 out of 36 tracked keywords already feature on the first page of Google. For such a small campaign budget, the results we have seen have been really exciting. We can’t wait to see how things progress over the next few months.
