Are you ready to Duel? Duel Gaming is a brand new gaming platform that is about to take the UK by storm…designed, developed and marketed by KIJO.

The Brand

We didn’t just create the logo at KIJO we go way beyond that. Starting with target market customer person’s we also came up with the name of the platform – Duel.

The icon shape has roots in gaming pads from the past, ranging from a SNES in the early 90’s to a Playstation 1 controller.

Colours

Our market research told us that potential users of the platform would be 25-45 and therefore our colour palette was inspired by retro games that would have been popular when our target market where teenagers.

Typography

Web App

When designing the web app we wanted to ensure the user flow was seamless from login to matchplay. We worked on multiple versions of the wireframes to come to the best solution for both the end user and the client’s KPI’s.

How It Works

1. Register To Duel
Make an account with us to 
access our library of game modes including duel, matchmaking and tournament modes! It’s quick 
and easy to do.
2. Find An Opponent
Send out a quick Duel Challenge, join the Matchmaking Queue or find a Tournament to take part in find your opponents and get ready to show them what you’re made of.
3. Play & Earn
Once you’ve signed up, found 
an opponent it’s time to play, 
and of course winner takes ALL! The winner gets to keep the 
prize money.

With 4 of the most popular online games to choose from (Fornite, Fifa, Apex Legends & League of Legends) the game dashboard is where you pick the game you want to play now.

We created 3 uniquely branded gaming made for the Duel platform. Each gaming mode is now instantly recognisable. What gaming mode would you choose?

This is where the competitive users of Duel will spend most of their time. You can analyse your league position based on each game and see where you rank compared to your friends.

Profile

The design of the marketing website needed to provide an immersive experience so a user would feel like they are already in a gaming environment. We achieved this effect with 3D character animation across the website.

The Results

Its still early days for the platform however our BETA test group is over subscribed and the feedback on the visuals has been very positive. We can’t wait to see how this translates into users!
